Specialised Autism, ADHD & ABA Therapy Support
Autism Assessment & Support in Lahore
Early signs parents notice include delayed speech, limited eye contact, not responding to their name, repetitive movements, sensory sensitivities (sounds, textures, lights), and difficulty with change. Early identification matters: early intervention during the preschool years produces the strongest gains in communication and adaptive skills. My background in both clinical psychology and special education means assessment leads directly into a practical plan — not just a report.
What is an autism assessment?
An autism assessment is a structured clinical evaluation — using tools informed by the ADOS-2 and ADI-R alongside developmental history and observation — that determines whether a child’s social communication, sensory processing, play, and behaviour patterns meet criteria for autism spectrum disorder.

Autism Assessment & Support in Lahore
ADHD often shows up as classroom complaints, unfinished homework, careless mistakes, interrupting, and “not listening” — and it frequently overlaps with learning difficulties and anxiety, which is why a careful differential assessment matters more than a quick label.
What is an ADHD assessment?
An ADHD assessment is a multi-source evaluation of a child’s attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity — combining parent and teacher rating scales, clinical interview, and cognitive measures of executive function — to distinguish ADHD from anxiety, learning difficulties, or age-typical behaviour.

ABA Therapy in Lahore & Online Parent Coaching
As an ABA-trained clinical psychologist, I design individualised behaviour intervention plans and — crucially — coach parents to carry strategies into daily routines, because the fastest progress happens when therapy continues at home. ABA parent coaching is also available online for families outside Lahore and overseas.
What is ABA therapy?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy is an evidence-based approach that uses positive reinforcement to build communication, social, self-help, and learning skills — and to reduce behaviours that interfere with a child’s development. It is one of the most researched interventions for autistic children.

Autism Assessment
Gold-standard diagnostic evaluation (ADOS-2, ADI-R informed) for autism spectrum disorder.
ADHD Assessment
Structured evaluation of attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and executive function.
Learning difficulties assessment
Identifies dyslexia (reading), dysgraphia (writing), and dyscalculia (maths) and produces school-ready recommendations.
Comprehensive psychological assessment
Cognitive ability (IQ), emotional functioning, behaviour, and development; often requested by schools, paediatricians, or for immigration/education documentation.
Psychological Assessment Services for Children
Accurate support starts with accurate understanding. Assessments answer three questions: What is happening? Why? And what should we do next?
Child Behavioural Therapy
Child behavioural therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach that identifies what triggers and maintains challenging behaviours — tantrums, aggression, defiance, refusal — and replaces them with skills, routines, and reinforcement systems that work at home and school.
Anxiety Counselling for Children & Teens
Worry that controls a child's day — school refusal, separation distress, phobias, social fear, physical complaints with no medical cause — responds very well to child-adapted CBT. Parents learn how to respond without accidentally feeding the anxiety.
Emotional Regulation Support
Some children feel everything at full volume. Emotional regulation therapy teaches children to name feelings, notice body signals, and use calming strategies — reducing meltdowns and building frustration tolerance. Especially valuable for autistic children and children with ADHD.
Child Therapy & Behavioural Intervention
Parent Counselling
Parent counselling is structured, judgement-free guidance that gives parents practical strategies for their child's specific needs — behaviour management, routines, sibling dynamics, and their own stress — because the most powerful therapy setting is the home.
Family Therapy
Family therapy treats the family as a system: when one child struggles, everyone's patterns shift. Sessions improve communication, reduce conflict, align parenting between mother, father, and extended family, and ease the pressure siblings quietly carry. In joint-family households common across Pakistan, aligning grandparents and extended family with a child's therapy plan is often the difference between progress and stalemate — and it's a routine part of my work.
PARENT & FAMILY SUPPORT
Online Counselling
Umme Habiba provides secure online psychology sessions — parent consultations, ABA parent coaching, anxiety counselling, behavioural guidance, and assessment feedback — to families across Pakistan (including Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha) and to overseas Pakistani and South Asian families in the Gulf, UK, Europe, North America, and Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a child psychologist do?
A child psychologist assesses and treats emotional, behavioural, developmental, and learning difficulties in children and adolescents — using structured assessments and evidence-based therapies like CBT and ABA, and working closely with parents and schools.
How do I know if my child needs to see a psychologist?
If a difficulty is persistent (weeks to months), affects more than one setting (home and school), or is causing distress to your child or family, an assessment is worthwhile. You do not need a doctor’s referral, and seeking an opinion early is never an overreaction.
What are the early signs of autism in children?
Common early signs include limited eye contact, not responding to their name by 12 months, delayed speech, little pointing or showing, repetitive movements, strong reactions to sounds or textures, and difficulty with changes in routine. Signs vary widely — an assessment gives clarity.
At what age can autism be assessed in Pakistan?
Reliable autism assessment is possible from around 18–24 months. Earlier assessment means earlier intervention, which is when progress is fastest. If you’re concerned about a toddler, don’t wait for school age.
How is ADHD diagnosed in children?
Through a structured process: detailed developmental history, standardised parent and teacher rating scales, clinical observation, and measures of attention and executive function — while ruling out anxiety, learning difficulties, sleep issues, and situational causes.
What is ABA therapy and is it effective?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) breaks skills into teachable steps and uses positive reinforcement to build communication, social, and daily-living skills. It has the largest evidence base of any autism intervention. Delivered ethically and individually — as I practise it — it is child-led, play-based, and never punitive.
Do you provide ABA therapy in Lahore?
Yes. I provide ABA-based intervention and parent coaching at my Gulberg III clinic in Lahore, and ABA parent-coaching programmes online for families across Pakistan and overseas.
My child is intelligent but failing at school. Why?
This is the classic profile of a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia — or of undiagnosed ADHD or anxiety. A learning assessment identifies the exact barrier and produces recommendations schools can act on.
Can you help with severe tantrums and aggressive behaviour?
Yes. Behavioural therapy identifies what triggers and maintains the behaviour, then builds a consistent plan of skills, routines, and reinforcement for home and school. Parents are coached directly — most families see meaningful change within weeks of consistent implementation.
What happens in parent counselling? Does it mean I've failed as a parent?
The opposite — it means you’re doing what strong parents do. Sessions give you specific, practical strategies for your child’s specific profile, plus support for your own stress. No judgement, ever.
How does family therapy work in a joint-family setup?
Very well, when extended family are included thoughtfully. I often involve grandparents or other caregivers (in person or online) so that everyone responds to the child consistently — inconsistency between adults is one of the biggest obstacles to progress.
Do you offer online sessions for families outside Lahore?
Yes — secure video sessions in Urdu or English for families in Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, and everywhere else in Pakistan, with evening and weekend availability.
Do you work with overseas Pakistani families?
Yes. A significant part of my practice is online consultation for Pakistani and South Asian families in the Gulf, UK, Europe, North America, and Australia — parents who want culturally fluent guidance in their own language.
Can assessments be done online?
Parent interviews, history-taking, screening, feedback sessions, and many consultations work fully online. Formal diagnostic testing (e.g., full autism or cognitive assessment) is most valid in person; for overseas families I offer a hybrid model and can coordinate with local professionals.
How long does an assessment take, and what do I receive?
Typically 3–6 hours spread over multiple appointments, so your child isn’t fatigued. You receive a detailed written report, a plain-language feedback session, and concrete recommendations for home and school — valid for school accommodations.
Is everything my family shares confidential?
Absolutely. All records, sessions, and reports are confidential and shared only with your written consent, within recognised ethical guidelines of psychological practice. Confidentiality and stigma-sensitivity are foundations of this clinic.
Where is your clinic in Lahore?
Suite 204, Med-City Complex, Gulberg III, Lahore — centrally located and accessible from all parts of Lahore. Online sessions are available if travelling is difficult.
What are your fees, and is the first call really free?
Yes — the 15-minute intake call is free, with no obligation. It’s how we decide together whether and where to start. Fee details for assessments and therapy are shared transparently before any booking.
