Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

This website is operated by Umme Habiba (“we,” “us,” “our”), a clinical psychologist providing child psychology assessment and therapy — including autism assessment, ADHD assessment, ABA therapy, child behavioural therapy, anxiety counselling, learning difficulties support, parent counselling, family therapy, and psychological assessment — from her clinic in Lahore, Pakistan, and online to families across Pakistan and internationally.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to:

  • Email: info@ummehabibapsychology.com
  • Phone / WhatsApp: +92 309 6900833
  • Clinic address: [CONFIRM: single canonical address — your site currently shows two different addresses, “Suite 204, Med-City Complex” and “Suite 402, Al-Hafeez Executive Tower.” Pick one and use it everywhere, including here.]

What Information We Collect

  1. a) When you use our contact or appointment forms (the “Request Callback” and “Book Appointment” forms on this site), we collect: your name, your child’s age, your city (Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, or Sargodha), your primary concern (e.g. ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Anxiety/Fear, Behavioural Issues, Learning Difficulties, School Refusal, or Other), your preferred contact method and time, and your phone/WhatsApp number.
  2. b) Once you become a client, we collect clinical information necessary for assessment and therapy: developmental, medical, educational, and family history; session notes; assessment results (for example, from an autism or ADHD assessment); and any written reports we produce. Where you give written consent, we may also receive or share information with your child’s school or another professional involved in their care.
  3. c) If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone, or email directly, we collect whatever information you choose to share through that channel, including your number and the content of your messages.
  4. d) Automatically, when you browse this site, we may collect standard technical information (browser type, device type, approximate location, pages visited) through cookies or similar tools — see the Cookies section below.
  5. e) If you attend an online consultation, video sessions are conducted through Zoom, Google Meet, or WhatsApp Video. That platform processes call data under its own privacy terms in addition to ours.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this website. All information relating to a child is submitted to us by a parent or legal guardian.

How We Use Your Information

We use it to: respond to your enquiry and schedule the free 15-minute intro call or a consultation; carry out assessment and therapy; produce written reports and share them with you (or your child’s school, only with your written consent); send appointment confirmations and reminders; maintain the clinical records our practice is professionally required to keep; and understand and improve how this website is used.

We do not use your child’s clinical information for marketing purposes, and we never sell, rent, or trade personal or clinical information to any third party for any reason.

Consent for Children’s Information

Because our clients are children, all information about a child is provided and consented to by a parent or legal guardian. By submitting a form on this site on your child’s behalf, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian (or otherwise legally authorised to consent for them), and that you agree to this policy. You may withdraw consent for non-essential communications (such as the newsletter on our Articles page) at any time by emailing us; withdrawing consent for active clinical care will be discussed with you directly, since it may affect ongoing treatment.

Confidentiality — and Its Limits

What you or your child share with Umme Habiba in session is treated as strictly confidential, in line with professional clinical ethics. We only disclose clinical information to a third party when: you give clear, specific written consent for that particular disclosure (for example, sharing an assessment report with your child’s school); we are legally required to; or we believe there is a serious risk of harm to your child or someone else, in which case we may be professionally and legally obligated to act — which can include informing a parent, guardian, or the relevant authority, even without your prior consent. This is explained again, verbally, at the start of every first consultation, so it’s never a surprise later.

How We Protect Your Information

Clinical records — intake forms, session notes, assessment reports — are stored securely with access limited to Umme Habiba and any administrative staff directly involved in your care, all bound by confidentiality obligations. Digital records are protected with reasonable safeguards such as password-protected devices and accounts. No method of transmission is completely secure, particularly messages sent over WhatsApp or standard email, which are not encrypted to clinical-grade standards — if you’re sharing something especially sensitive, ask us about a more secure alternative before sending it.

Online and Overseas Clients

Many families who consult online are Pakistani and South Asian families based in the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, Canada, and Australia. If you’re booking from outside Pakistan: your information is processed and stored in Pakistan, where this practice is based, and by using our services from abroad you consent to that transfer. Appointment times are arranged around your time zone, and school reports or prior assessments from your home country are welcome as part of your consultation — please only send documents through the contact channel we agree on together, not as unsolicited email attachments.

Cookies and Website Analytics

This site may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your preferences, to understand how visitors use the site (for example, through Google Analytics), and to support embedded features such as the clinic location map. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time; this may affect some site functionality but will never affect your ability to contact us or book an appointment.

Your Rights

You, or your child’s parent/legal guardian, can ask what information we hold, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete information (except where professional record-keeping rules require us to retain it for a minimum period), and withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time. Contact us using the details above; we’ll respond within 30 days.

How Long We Keep Information

General enquiries that don’t lead to a booked appointment are kept for [CONFIRM: e.g. 12 months] and then deleted. Clinical records for clients are retained for [CONFIRM: the minimum period required by any professional body you’re registered with, or a sensible default if none applies — for children’s health records, a common approach is retention until a set number of years after the child turns 18, but confirm the right figure rather than guessing]. We may keep some records longer where required by law.

Third-Party Links

Our Articles page and footer link to external sites and our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party site, please check their own policies separately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if our services or the law change. The “Last Updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
